Voila, my first sewing project. No it was NOT difficult to sew bias taping around the apron but it helped me get to know my new sewing machine better. If I can keep it threaded correctly than I think we'll get along fine. :)
p.s I recommend using a thicker fabric when making an apron.

Looks great! My next sewing project is a nursing cover, so sort of like an apron. Glad to know it wasn't hard, cause all I can sew is straight lines!
AWESOME- i'm glad that you were able to make an apron-if you ever need any help-just ask!!!!
Rebekah, I like your first project. One of my first after we married, I had Les lay on the material so I could trace around him for a jumpsuit. It would have been great if he'd been only two dimentional. It did sort of work when I sewed strips of material between the front and back. And he did wear it, (even in public). Remembering that helps me stay humble. I do love sewing, and am much better at it now. Keep enjoying. Yours looks MUCH better.
Love Becca
Cute Apron Bek! I love it! I am so impressed with your sewing skills!
I love the apron and I'm still laughing about Becca's comment. Yep we all were pretty bad before we got good at sewing.
Great-grandma Garrison taught me how to sew when I was something like 5 or 6 years old. I did the same thing as Becca only with doll clothes and quickly lost interest when I sewed a wrong side and right side together and grandma made me un-pick it and do it right.
When the need for frugality hit my interest in sewing came back in spades.
YAY!!! You did it! See.. you ARE amazingly talented after all!!
