Update time. I finished the initial flight training in the Bell 206 JetRangers (like a news chopper) in early May and have been sitting on hold (11:00 AM formation for 2 minutes to make sure we're still here) every day since. I did get tasked to sit at a desk for 24 hour shifts 2-3 times per week for 2 months. THAT SUCKED! Luckily my philosophy of "screw up enough and they won't ask you to do anything" worked. I kept letting the enlisted guys that did it with me go home for a few hours at a time and I got in trouble for it. Got kicked off that and have been enjoying my time since. Just trying to memorize an even larger set of manuals than before. Not going the best. Rebekah finished student teaching about the same time and has found numerous things to occupy her time, money and our space. Between her budget and the CRAP people put out on the curb, the house has filled up quickly and it's driving me nuts. She went on a month and a half odyssey to Utah, Yellowstone, Mount Rushmore, Arches, Alaska, Vegas, DC and finally back to Alabama. I joined her when she flew back from Alaska. It was wonderful to have 3 weeks back in the West after a year away. Loved every last minute of it. Rebekah was ready to get back "home" to Alabama while I was dreading it. I remind Rebekah that this is a "temporary residence" not a home; almost as much as I remind her French is a "potty language". Wow! It looks like you had quite the trip there Bek! I love and miss you and your family. Seeing pictures of your fam traveling like this reminds me of Prince Edward Island. Oh... what good times!
I'm so glad your family lives by us so I get to see you occasionally!
